It’s a shame you just copied and pasted for most of them, they were all the same. Shame you didn’t make a more realistic military mech that the clones “actually used” to fight against the droids. All head canon obviously, and when I say realistic I mean, something that would of looked like something from Star Wars

Yes. Something has shifted and as a result, I'm not as interested as lego as I used to be. Lego now only sells centerpieces. They're cool and all, but you can't have the space or the money to collect lego anymore - unless you're a very hardcore fan. it's gotten too big, too serious, too wide. And personal imagination is gone in most lines of products. I'm no pro builder, I can't create anything from scratch, but I used to love collecting little playsets, mix and matching them, creating little personal worlds. 20 euros, then 30 euros, 20 euros, I kept it fresh and kept adding to my world. Unique dioramas, with love. Now you follow the instructions of one very guided product and your shelf is full. Nothing to add. They don't even offer anything to add besides spare bricks. Lego are adult "models" only now, for very specific, wealthy pop culture fanbases.

Finding retired and rare Lego sets at Bricks & Minifigs is like finding cheeseburgers at In N Out.

Corporation greed is a major stain on this earth. Look at some of the fake lego sets out there like the Porsche RSR, they retail at a fraction of what lego charge for what’s essentially the same product just unbranded.

They shouldn’t neglect maintaining smaller, simpler Lego sets for the kids, but I for one do appreciate the bigger, gorgeous sets for adults. I can pick 2 or 3 a year, like Rivendell and DnD, and enjoy really nice builds that I can then put up for a good display too. Lego is expensive, and if I’m gonna spend bigger, I’d like it to be for a big set, not a chase of smaller ones.

LEGO has the greatest sets ever in the last years. But their prices are absurd.

I think lego is losing it's way with children. There's too much focus on making huge $400 lego sets that are pricing a lot of people out of buying them. They need to go back to the simplicity and creativity of the 90s themes.

I have some awesome Lego sets, including an AT-ST and an AT-AT. Before you ask, no, the AT-AT isn't the UCS one. I don't think it really matters either way, they are the same really. I find expensive Lego sets can be as good as a cheaper set. Lego is just for fun 😅

I'm a millennial who played with Fabuland, Pirates, Paradisa and Belleville series lego as a kid, and now raising kids who love Friends and Ninjago lego and I agree with what you are saying about the moderate price playsets being pushed out.. but I wanted to add there is another big change, which I think stems from an increased adult audience across all Lego series and that is build complexity in all series- in my era, there were sets that had pressed plastic formed bases, which obviously simplified the build, but also reduced piece count which assisted with price point. We have a friends lighthouse from 10 or so years ago that has so many blocks just to build the base terrain, and I can't help but wonder why that was necessary. It does add to the enjoyment of building the set, but it does not enhance playability after assembly. Some sets are so complex that the kids worry about playing with them because reassembly if they bumped them apart, seems daunting.

I hadn't bought a Lego set for myself since the 90s. I got the Optimus Prime set and that's kind of opened the floor gates and I got the UCS X-Wing, I only wish I'd got the 1989 Batmobile while it was available.

I have one question is there a only real Lego because I see really good deal and I don't know is that real or not

LEGO is not more expensive. Let's talk about Black Seas Barracuda, a flagship set. It was released in 1989 for $110 US Dollars, when the minimum wage was around $3.85 per hour. Doing the math, more or less you could afford 6 x Black Seas Barracuda per month. In 2024, the minimum wage is around $16 per hour which results in $2720 per month. Dividing this to 6 sets, as you could buy back in 1989, that results in $453 per box. So basically, a flagship LEGO box which is $453 in 2024 is not more expensive than it was a flagship LEGO box 30 or 40 years ago. Yes LEGO is expensive, but it was always expensive

I’m 50 now and still love and buy toys but Lego is one toy I never liked. Back than or now. I like toys like He Man/Star Wars etc but never Lego. To each their own.

I've been a fan of Lego all 48 years of my life, I remember buying those little sets, building up towards a holiday when I could get that pirate ship or castle. I miss those little sets, I wish like star wars we had more pirate or army building type sets even varied forest or castle theme
